Attorney Duygu Seymen, founding partner of M & S LAW ISTANBUL office, was born in Germany in 1991 and is a member of Western Thrace Turkish Minority.
She completed her education at Istanbul University Faculty of Law.
After graduated from gastronomy at Anadolu University she currently continues her studies of sociology.
During her studies at the Istanbul University Faculty of Law she focused on German law by attending relevant courses and seminars e.g. Medical Law – Criminal Law (Protection of Euthanasia and Embryos) from Turkish – German Perspective, the development of the German and Turkish Criminal and Criminal Procedure Law and Legal Systems in Community, which she attended at Justus Liebig University Giessen. After the presentation of an article on freedom of speech offenses written together with two fellow students at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen, the article was published in the research volume “The Development of Legal Systems in their Social Anchoring” (2014, eds.: Gropp/Öztürk/Sözüer/Wörner).
Attorney Duygu Seymen has participated in various professional development seminars such as “Children’s Rights”, “Women’s Rights and Domestic Violence”, “Discrimination Based on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity” and “Human Rights” and has received various certificates.
Attorney Duygu Seymen is assigned as mediator by the competent public prosecutor’s office within the scope of the victim-offender mediation regulated in the Code of Criminal Procedure Act
Having completed her internship with the Istanbul Bar Association, Attorney Duygu Seymen has worked at law offices with international clientele, especially in German, and has collaborated as a founding partner with Attorney Özgür Moustafa to create M&S LAW ISTANBUL.
Member of the Human Rights Centre, Animal Rights Center and Foreign Relations Center of the Istanbul Bar Association.
Attorney Duygu Seymen speaks German at the native language level and speaks fluent English.
